The Goring, London for your beautiful stay
Beeston Place, Grosvenor Gardens, London SW1W 0JW, England, 44 (0)20 7396 9000
In1910 the only hotel in the word to have en-suite bathrooms and central heating system was The Goring. It is the only family run hotel remaining in London to complete a century, the hotel where many eminent royalties have spent days enjoying and the hotel where Kate Middleton stayed with her family before her marriage to Prince William. It is situated adjacent to the Buckingham Palace and at walking distance to the Royal Parks. Though the hotel is discreetly located away from the hustle of the city, the theater land and the principle shopping area are just a few minutes away. Glamour, sophistication, luxury, royalty can be felt and heard loud and clear, the moment the guest steps into the hotel.
Enjoying the status of being the only hotel which is still being run by a family, The Goring flaunts its exclusive position as the last man standing. This 5 star luxury hotel is so close to Buckingham Palace that you can practically touch it if you stretch your hand a little, like Mister Fantastic. Jokes apart, Kate Middleton stayed at the hotel with her family in 2011 just before her wedding to Prince Williams for the place is just so royal, thanks to Grandpa Goring who decided to build a hotel in the heart of London. Even the Queen stays at the hotel quite a lot; she appeared in the public last time from this hotel.

The best afternoon tea can be enjoyed at the Goring’s lounge — the choicest terrace for relaxing and unwinding. The Goring bar is a London landmark. It has an impressive list of wine and of course Irish rogue Brian Kinsella’s exceptional humor and charm. The dining room aglow with Swarowski chandeliers serves the perfect British cuisine. For a more intimate or carefree setting the guest can opt for the Veranda. It is an enormous private English garden at the Goring surrounded by trees, a variety of birds with peace and tranquility all around. It even overlooks the Buckingham Palace. To enjoy the sunset the Goring Beach Bar is the best place to be. They recently held the Basil’s beach bar popup bar which was a huge success. The delicious mix of cocktails and other drinks were a huge hit and a repeat event is very much in demand. The food is prepared from the best of ingredient using the finest freshest produce available. The Goring has its own cellar with four generations of finest wines available.

Since 1910, the family is carrying the name and legacy of Otto Richard Goring who was the first man to install central heating and a private bathroom in each of the 69 rooms. Going a little back in time, The Goring was the command centre for Chief of Allied Forces during the First World War. In fact, it was from this hotel that President Woodrow Wilson was contacted. Mother of Winston Churchill moved to the hotel in 1919. And the rest as they say is history. This grand baby has been entertaining guest from over all the world and take back memories in their hearts and smiles on their faces.
In 2005, the Dining Room of the hotel was inaugurated; it was voted the best British Restaurant with 5 million spectators by ITV Carlton TV. In later years, it was voted London’s best hotel by Travel + Leisure Magazine twice – once in 2005 and again in 2006. The Goring is proud of its service – they provide terraces in some rooms but the hotel’s private gardens are open to all nature and peace loving guests. Dining Room with best British food and Lounge Bar to enjoy drinks – The Goring will take care of all your needs and give you the pampering you miss in the hustle bustle of life.
